Ghillie rifle wrap

What's the best way to wrap your rifle in a ghillie?

I've seen some people basically make a "shirt" for their rifle and add netting/burlap to it just like a BDU.

I've seen others who just wrap directly onto the rifle.

Is there a preferred/accepted/easier method?

Try them all and find the one you like, there is NO perfect ghillie solution for EVERYONE.

Personally on the rifle over the last few years I've found that a directly wrapped TO the gun is the best, mostly because I've found fewer loose threads that get in my optics way. This reduction in clutter has helped me maintain better feilds of veiw and quicker target acquisitions

Just make sure that your bolt is clear of any jute or twine or whatever.

I find that ghilling only the front part of the rifle if the best way, as the back part, like behind the front optic, is hidden by the sniper ghillie suit.

Since most of the time, you are facing your ennemi and if you get flanked by him, you should either relocate or hide (with your rifle under you), camoing the whole rifle is useless.

Edit: For the record, I tried most of the ways, and I prefer to have a "shirt" base. Only a net is prone to getting stuck in everything you crawl into and it's not as form fitting and easy to ajust on the rifle as the "shirt". It's also less messy when you have to take it on and off your rifle as it fold nicely and unfold without bunching up. Once camoed, it's as good as any ghillied netting.

I'm guessing that, either way, I should leave space for local vegetation too, right?

see you should just make your rifle look like something non-threatening like an ice cream cone or something. cause theyre gunna be looking for a guy with a gun. but then theyre gunna be like oh. its just a guy with an ice cream cone. hes cool.

thats what i would do.

To much futur weapon.

Don't leave holes for local vegetation, but put elastic to attach some in. That way, you have a nice base camo that match your ghillie, wich mach the ground. You can add local vegetation as you see fit when you move on the field to mach your very location.
