Tactical Force 16

Hi there,

I just brought a brand new TF16. I finished charging it then I started to play with it. All of a sudden, it stopped firing BB's for no reason that I can understand. It was as if there is no power so i suspect it could be the gear box. I've been reading around and there really isn't much a answer to my situation. Does anyone know what to do? Thanks in advance.

could be a loose connector or your fuse coulda blown .

I checked the fuse, and the silver strip inside is still intact. Not too sure how to check for loose wires.

AngelusNex August 9th, 2008 20:31

Well it'll be easier to check for loose wires than opening the gear box but before you try that you should try recharging the battery and see if it's just that the battery could only hold a small charge (due to crappyness)

Thanks Sepulcrum for the replies. I just plugged in my battery to the gun and it doesn't fire. BUT, the battery starts to build up heat when it just sitting there. Could it be the connection?

that sounds like a seized mech box or a shot circuit

sushi_boy604 August 9th, 2008 20:49

How do i check the mech box out? How do i take one apart? Also how can i check to see if its seized? Thanks again. I really appreciate it.

http://www.mechbox.com/m4m16 <- that should help you disassemble/reassemble your aeg. follow it closely.

It could be that the piston is stuck, it happened twice on my MP5. You need to apply pressure to the piston and at the same time fire your aeg. Be carefull though, you must take away what you're using to apply pressure on the piston at the same time or it could result in a broken piston.

god dammit, i seen you asking this same question on several peoples threads, often when it is barely relavent to the topic...its a sketchy gun in the first place...take it back to wal-mart...

sushi_boy604 August 11th, 2008 13:23

What i notice was i had to take out the AEG motor and put it back in then it worked again. It jams every now and then. So I am assuming you can't push the motor too tightly in or it will jam. Sounds reasonable? BTW I found similar problems not the exact same problems.

Crunchmeister August 11th, 2008 13:55

I'd suspect it's motor height. At the base of the grip, there's an adjustment screw to set the motor height. Try turning that counterclockwise a bit to lower the motor so it doesn't mesh with the gears as tightly. Not too much though, because you don't want the gears skipping against each other and stripping.

Thanks for everyone's input. I appreciate it. After I'm done my finals I will try it out and let you guys know =)

Solved

Thanks to everyone's help and contributions, I have finally fixed my TF16. It was the motor being pushed up too high. This forced the gears to lock and when the trigger was pulled, the motor was overheating because it was trying to move. Thanks again everyone. I hope I can help others too.
