Fuse/Wiring
 

Hey.

Just wanna know if it's hard to change fuse and wiring (from battery to fuse) for KWA's M4A1. I'm a total newb so I'd like to know if even I can make it... seems like I f***ed the little metallic part inside the connector trying to fit a large battery inside (learned my lesson... didn't know the difference between a large tamiya and a mini). Now the little metal part are flat and curved I don't know if my ini battery will work... I'll have to wait for ebay...

The fuse is not difficult to change at all. It's the cheapest and easiest of all AEG repairs. You open the cover, pop the old one out and put the new one in.

As for wiring, it's not difficult either. You'll probably just need to buy a new connector and splice it in.

Where am I supposed to buy that?

They have them there or I would expect local hobby shops to carry them as well (probably easier locally).

Maybe a mini battery will still works. It just seem like the mettalic circle inside the plastic end is loosen up because I pressed on ut.

Anyone knows?

if you want the easy fix just screw it and spend 5 bucks on a new stock wire from ehobby.
lots of guys here will probly tell you that you dont even need the fuse that it doesnt really serve any purpose

i dont have a fuse in my tf16 and im running a 9.6v 2000mah....played with it for about a month now and everything is fine.

Fuses serve an important purpose. They are the first line of defence of gears stripping not to mention power regulation. The second advantage is you can tell by the type of "burn out" what the issue is with your AEG. It can tell you if it is mechanical or eletrical by the burn inside the glass chamber. I leave the fuse in mine because I like to know the problem without tearing it apart. Plus I like fuses as my sister's company makes them :)

yea even though i heard enough about people not using them or saying you dont need them, something like your battery will fry itself out before it messes up your gearbox i still run fuses no matter what to be safe.

i need to get a fuseless stock wire from ehobby for my bros ak. hes running two fuses in it cuz it has that chip like one in the d-boys gearbox and then theres the one thats in the stocks wire which is about worn out and needs replaced anyway. but i think running two fuses at the same time is slowing the gearbox down. like sometimes itll act like its out of batteries and the battery will work just fine with any other gun
