Jing Gong Dustcover Replacement

Hey guys I need your help. Over the weekend I had some friends over, and my very most irressponsible friend was fondling my JGM16 and broke the the small nub that hold the dustcover shut on my m16. So now I come to you for your help. I need to know what would be the best 'replacement' dustcover for a my AEG, im not looking for 'your' opinion on whether or not it works without one... i dont care, i just want it fixed ffs. What would really help would be sites or posts that sell jing gong dustcovers or other brands that will fit and work the same way the jing gong dustcover works. Thanks in advance =].

Pictures very related.

Keep it open.

When real armalites fire that port is open.

Yeah, amos is right... but I'm like you, picky about those sorts of things.
airsoftparts.ca has spare dust covers in stock, just gotta wait 'till they're back online. (july 5th)

I like to keep my gun as clean as possible.

It will be no dirtier with it open, just don't bury it in the sand. If anything you'd need to get a new dustcover like the other guy said, doubt you'd find the nub that holds it shut.

That really doesn't matter...

There's a fake bolt plate underneath it. The bolt plate =/= function of the AEG.

Even if you're missing that plate... Unless you have some horridly ported front cylinder.. I can not see any negative effects of "dirt" harming the gun to do with having an open port.

with all due respect you asked out for help and he has told you that there is no adverse effect when it is exposed. I however am like you, I like my guns all neat n tidy. The problem seems to be common with that part both my JG M4 and my friend's JG M4 had that small nub come off. The quick solution was black gorilla tape till we can order new dust covers (july 5th)

If you have not yet understood that, this forum is proning respect.

You have asked for help regarding an issue, stating that you wanted to keep you gun clean.

A well respected member informed you that there was no issue related to having the bolt cover open. Your gun would not be dirtier than when it is closed.

If you don't agree, there is some nicier ways to reply and formulate your opposition.

This is not a good start here, I can assure you.

Your problem has been answered. You have to change the whole bolt cover for any aftermarket/new one.

If you want to find one used, you can get age verified and look in the classifieds. There is always some for sale for very cheap. If you are looking for a new one, airsoftparts.ca is a good start. You could also order it from oversea if you are not afraid of online transactions.

First of all there was no topic regarding cleanliness of an AEG's internals due to the funcuality of a dust cover, i just want my part fixed... that is all, nothing more. im not looking for people to argue with on if it works fine, or how a real steel m-series rifle would work... so please... i just want a dust cover that would work with the JG body. and btw i cant tell if ur flaming me or helping me against the other flamers.
