First of many
The first of my SPR parts have shown up. Unfortunetly while the bulk is coming Friday several small pieces wont be arriving till next week. Most notably a selector switch and steel trigger also a m150 spring. But I am in possession of the gearbox, motor, stock, RS armalite SPR rail, and a CA rear flip up sight. It;s a start;)
http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/100_1906l.jpg One thing I'm worried about is, and Ive never done this, is how hard is it to get the outer barrel correctly installed into the receiver, 1 being easy and 10 being pain in the arse lol. Is it the same as a regular real ar-15? |
Are you making a 1:1 US army SPR ? or just your take on it.
|
As close as I cant get it. I went with the armalite rail rather than an ARMS sleeve simply because it was easier to obtain. Other than that and a Bushmaster body I don't think i'll be to far off the mark.
|
I would highly recommend the ARMS sleeve over the Armalite rail, its not really a Mod 0 without it. The entire look comes from the front end and top rail that leads to the rear ARMS flip up, not having it is blasphemy lol
|
Just money right :)

Outer barrel assembly should not be to much of a task. Id give it a rating of a 2 on the difficulty list, but Im going off personal opinion, it maybe harder for some and even easier for others. Im lookin forward to seeing your finished project.

GH3 FTW!
Anyways, Ill be watching this closely as im thinking of building an armalite from parts also in the fall |

http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/sprblack1.jpg Still some small parts to attach but I wanted to at least get an idea at how it would look. I dont think the armalite rail looks terrible on there but I agree the ARMS looks better. The SPR front end was an absolute bitch to get on though. |
It look nice anyway. Get a good scope on it, not a peice of junk tasco!
|
The scope will be next month, ive spent to much as it is on this. Ill probably cry when I see the bill lol.
