Pulling loose

HI guys,On Saturday after the game,I was taking out my Batt.
and had smoke come from the white large connector. What the
problem is,the two wires are slowly working loose from the metal
clips inside the connector. Is there a way to take out the pins or
do I cut and replace the connector?. Thanks:cool:

Easiest is to cut the connector off and replace it. The little pins don't take well to being re-shaped/crimped onto fresh wire.

As long as you have something to cut/strip the wires and a little pair of pliers to crimp the connectors, it's a snap (just get the right wire into the right hole of the plug). You might want to solder the wire to the plug so that it can't pull out (but personally, if you're going to reef on your wires, I'd rather have a $3 connector rip off than risk breaking the wire somewhere else and having to rewire the mechbox or battery...)

Removing old plugs is tough (they're not meant to come out).

Consider DEANS connectors...they're tough, connect/disconnect nicely and are have great (electrical mumbo-jumo) power throughput. Need to solder though, but it's pretty easy.

Airsoftparts.ca just got a batch of connectors in.

I think it's easier to cut and replace the connector

They're also smaller than a mini plug so a space bonus is to be had.

Is a how too, and here's a size comparo.
