JG G36C

hi, i have a jg g36c that i have seen no reason to customize to this point, id like to give it a little something but im not sure just what. i have 300 dollars as a limit. id also like to get some opinions on a good tightbore barrel for it.

help please?

Prometheus and KM are the tightbores that I'd use.

Not quite sure what else to recommend, probably replace the stock plastic bushings with metal bushings and put in a bearing spring guide.

Did your gun come with metal bushings. Good first thing to change if you have the nylon white ones in there now.
hmm, I got batteries and a good charger next.
Front grip
RDS sight
then I just kept getting more mechbox parts, Prometh barrel 6.03,
Just received the trigger master today btw :)

okay, i already have metal bushings coming but promethius barrels are good?
i also have a holo sight and me and my friend are gonna do some intense custom paint and such. would a new spring be any use? i poor man chronoed mine at over 400 fps but idk, thats pretty damn good.

what about external? would an aftermarket ras be worth it? like the CA one.

The Saint April 22nd, 2008 22:16

Can you fill in your location? It's hard for us to recommend things like FPS without knowing where you are. For example, here in Ontario, 400FPS is the limit on AEGs.

Things like RAS are personal taste for the most part. I personally prefer a clean looking gun and avoid them.

You might want to invest in a better hopup sleeve, though. Something like Prometheus or Systema.

callycat23 April 22nd, 2008 22:21

i live in maine, in the states so im all good on fps.
i just looked over my gun and its way too good looking to slap stuff on it like that, but hopup sleeve, ive heard the systema one is good but prometheus sounds better to me.

The Saint April 22nd, 2008 22:24

Are you using good batteries? That's always a good investment.

If you need to ask "what upgrades should I do", you probably haven't been using your gun long enough. Aside from the MB fixes like bushings, wait until you know what it is your gun needs ;)

im using 9.6 minis for batts which i figured is prob good enough for it, gives it a little more juice.

so i guess im mainly gonna do the barrel and hop up.

does anyone know where i could snag a stock from an sl-9 model, i know star makes a kit for the full conversion but i just like the integrated thumbhole stock.

Can't. The back of the reciever is different for the SL-9, so in order to affix the stock you have to replace the reciever.

they are nearly impossible to find in canada the body conversion kit, u might just as well buy the CA8-2 (SL8), thats what i did and i love it

callycat23 April 23rd, 2008 21:57

for the prometheus tightbore and hop up sleeve, what would be the effects of adding those particular ones, roughly?

The Saint April 23rd, 2008 22:07

Tighter grouping at further distances and a somewhat straighter BB trajectory.
