Anyone seen this?

Based on the Krakens performance and build quality, I might consider getting one of these when/if they come to Canada. Anyone else?

*yes i know one of my poll options is "no this rifles are crap" should have been "No this brand is crap."

I like pie, but I might get one of these for a laugh.

Fuck it.

I'll get this gun

AND PIE! MuhuhHAHAHAHAHA

Harbinger of Darkness March 27th, 2008 12:29

I get emails on all of Aftermath's upcoming products, a few that aren't even on their website yet. At 500fps I will be checking the Orphus out!

The knight CQB is scarey at 380fps... ow...

Other than that the Broxa MP5 at 400fps will be a nice full stocked MP5 I think!

For those that are really interested in hearing what Aftermath is planning in the future just shoot me a PM and I'll leak a little info lol.

kalnaren March 27th, 2008 13:03

It's called the Orphus for fuck sake's. I'll skip it based on it's name alone.

Karma March 27th, 2008 13:06

well, everyone needs a new Orphus...

Mapcinq March 27th, 2008 13:22

Lol, its funny how seriously people take the internet (not that it should be or anything). 12/18 of the answers are I like pie. Im not judging anyone or anything, I just find it funny.

Karma March 27th, 2008 13:41

In my case, I went with the only answer I could honestly give. The question is "will you get one?" , I can't say yes, cause I haven't a clue. I can't say that its crap, cause I also haven't a clue. However, I DO like pie...and since pie was an option...

500fps? Probably did the chrony on 0.12g, as it is customary for lower-end manufacturers to do. Translates to about 390fps on 0.20g, which sounds about right for a typical clone of that quality.

After my experience with a KART M14, I'd have to see the inside of this one before I'd buy one. Hope they make it into Canada ok, though.

Their guns are all chrono'd with .2's and even include a small bottle of .2s with the guns.

Do you honestly believe that Aftermath has gone through the trouble of making a 500fps stock AEG?

joker060 March 27th, 2008 15:02

Its not that hard to throw in a spring to make it run at 500fps. Now thats not saying that the mechbox will handle it but......

I dunno, they made the trouble of making a near 400fps AK47....

It's a bit harder to do 500fps @ 14rps than just tossing a stronger spring in. And I don't think they'd produce a line of guns that's meant to fail within the span of a locap.

This is 100fps above that, though, for a whooping total of 200fps above what's typically found in the TM guns Aftermath is cheaply based off of. I just find it unlikely they'd do that. Whereas if that number on the website came from using 0.12g BBs, it'd place the gun right around the 400fps existing Aftermath guns already tend to clock.
