head set not working
 

so i got a Cavalry TOTO II Tactical Headset and for some reason i just stopped working.

when i push the PTT in my linton picks up that the head set transmitting BUT when i say some thing no one hears anything and when some else talks i can hear anything.

i'm pretty sure its not the radio just and that looked at so any one got any ideas?

I have a Cavalry head set and it's fucked also. I have to pull the pin out of the radio a little to have it work properly.

how much? any idea on the length?

Where did you get it from? I was thinking of getting one but if theres problems then I may have to reconsider.

Pretty far, almost all the way out. Makes it kinda usless until I figure out a way to hold it in place.

holy shit really? any idea what could be causing the problem?

I have a headset that works with a pair of Cobra GRMS............. point being, the headset only works when pulled out about a millimeter. Found a small split lockwasher that fit snug on the pin, holds it at the perfect position. Should give some ideas for you to make a permanent solution you can count on.

i forgot to mention i have a duel ken wood pin.

anyone else out there with this product that had the same problem.

i have a dual pin kenwood and have used it in two different UHF radios with zero issues.

umm i may have to rip it open again and check everything thing because a lot of people don't seem to have problems.

So pulling it out a tiny bit should work??? hrmmmmm......I'll have to try that
