That was a good review. The gun itself looks great.

hey thanks for the review, im sure the jg version is very similar in most aspects but it comes down to the vsr-10 or L96...

Gorgeous pics, very nice review as well.

I'd have to say for the money spent, I think it's definitely a worth-while investment based on what you've said.

Something you mentioned: issues with accuracy. Do you find 8/10 shots will hit their mark and then occasionally 1 or 2 will inexplicably veer off somewhere, or just overall the spread is too high for your liking?

I have the L96 and I've found with mine anyway, that after switching to the .25's (Which I know you mentioned you're using) the accuracy becomes RIDICULOUSLY accurate for my personal taste. (40', <1" spread, without wind)

I'm interested to get more information from what you're saying there.

Anyway, great review... and amazing pics.

*Sidenote - what camera do you use? Nikon D50/90? Rebel XT? I love the color and the resolution and clarity are just beautiful. *

The VSR one I have is ACCURATE with the exception of one or two that veer off but Im only using .2's

I get about 2 inch devience at 20metres, that's about 60 feet.

Camera is FujiFilm A820. I bought it on sale for $170, craptacular camera btw. Those shots are "just" lucky.

even after you cleaned the gun's internals?

Skladfin February 6th, 2008 18:59

yup, that's about it.

The rubber seems to be such a bad quality, have to get rid of it asap.

Drache February 6th, 2008 19:14

what size of inner barrel should I buy and would any hopup rubber work?

Skladfin February 6th, 2008 19:56

510mm inner barrel size. The hop up rubber is VSR-10 type.

Because of a couple reasons, unless you get a thread adapter and silencer, using a different inner barrel length will result in inner barrel wobbling inside the outer barrel. So you have to have exactly 510mm.

But they don't sell VSR-10 barrels in 510mm length, only custom makers do.

Such as EdGI from phillipines, his inner barrel is made to your exact needs.

It's sold in 6.00mm or 6.01mm.

He doesn't have a website, you have to email him.

other than that, if you get a thread adapter + silencer, then you will need this thread adapter.

There is a 14mm positive threaded version sold on Redwolf.

Firefly seems to be the most popular. Nineball gives great airseal, and I'm really not sure about the KM.

Where could I find a shell holster similar to the one you have mounted on the back of your VSR10? I'd like to get one with the same size shells you've got on there.

Skladfin February 14th, 2008 00:19

I got the ammo band from local hunting supply store.

and the dummy rounds are from BB Bastard.
