KAC PDW
http://www.knightarmco.com/images/pdw1.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knight's_Armament_Company_PDW I've fallen in love with this weapon, and I want one in airsoft trim. This puppy screams "sexy" in every possible way. PLEASE flame me if there IS an airsoft variant out there right now, and then post a link to where I can buy one! And I *know* that I could technically just get an RIS M4 with a folding stock and I'd pretty much have the PDW... |
I'm sure you could build something similar with existing aftermarket parts.
The real thing is interesting, but I dont expect it to be adopted. Very few agencies want to jump on an oddball caliber. |
The 6mm may very well become the new NATO standard, from what I hear.

Looks good. The receiver looks just different enough to notice.
With the size of the mags, could do a large magazine gas gun. |
there was an announcement somewhere of an airsoft version in development.
|
Not saying different calibers are not being considered. They are always considered and tested. But it takes a LOT for a government to change calibers, supply chains, new weapons, etc.
Something like the new Magpul gun have far more chances. |
VFC has one in the works. Don't know when it's coming out though.

I think I'll turn the M4 I'm getting next week into a PDW. I'll document my progress. I wish real-steal stocks fit on CA's. |
Hero arms also recently released KAC PDW magazines for some odd reason
