P90 Not fireing in Semi.

Hey Guys,

Iv just accomplished a J Battery mod on one of my Marui P90's.

After completion and reinstalling the gearbox its not shooting in semi.
I think its got something to do with the "switch" or "cut-off switch"

The gun shoot only in full auto. Inside & outside the body it only goes auto.
The trigger assembly toggles all the way to the full position and fire auto.
When the gun is in the body semi mechanism seems to trigger pull ok...

But there is no action from the motor.

Any ideas?

Please Help! :hammer:

Perhaps during your modding you cut the wrong parts on the body? You might be screwed. Check it over again. Were you following a tutorial, or did you just start cutting?

Hey Mud :p

Can't help you... you should pm fei korv since he already did some things to his P90.

If there was a problem with the cutoff lever, it would still fire atleast once in semi after firing in full auto. It's possible you could have bend a contact on the switch, try putting pressure on your selector plate when your shooting :)

Its because its not an AK MUD... the AK's are revolting against you... and slowly sabotaging the rest of your guns that are not AK... you'd better give me your APS2!...

Could you explain more in detail what do you mean about pressure on the selector plate?

there is NO selector plate in a P90... what are you talking about??

The semi switch is the one you can see when you have the gun up-side down.

There is the "mechbox trigger" that the rod connected to the real trigger push. On the back of it is a copper plate that is used for auto-full.

If you look just a little further inside the mechbox, you will see 2 copper connectors about 3mm from each other. When you press the trigger halfway, there is a metal tab that goes in between and connects the two, the mechbox cycles and then the sector gear moves some part so that that metal tab is not linked directly to the trigger anymore.

Don't plug in a batter and check that the metal tab connects both pins... if that is a gap, there is your problem.

I had the same problem when I changed the wires from my older P90... just bend the 2 strips to that they are closer to each other.

I found the issue. A solder point came undone behind the semi switch contact left electrode. I re-soldered it back. Now she shoot fine in semi and auto.

But now I'm dealing with miss-feed issues (on both P-90's).
I don't know whats the problem now.

I think my mags are a bit worn out. Im going to lube them up a bit and see if that helps.

Thanks for all the help guys. Stay tuned.
