Gas Shell Sniper Rilfe

Sorry if this is a repost, couldn't find it anywhere else and for some reason i am not allowed to post in the news section, but what do you guys think of this?

I think the idea is awesome, but again, just like with the Marushin Kar98k, i hate the idea of having ot worry about where my shells are going. I guess it all depends on the cost of the shells and the ease of obtaining them. but i digress, it still looks really cool!

As long as it can handle high pressure gases in gas form and not liquid it would be decent. If it takes liquid in the shells or is anything like the asahi sniper rifle it will be kinda dismal. The asahi one was rumored to be able to chamber .22lr rounds with a few mods so that is also a worry.

well i am not planning on getting one. i just wanted to share this with the community. thanks for your thoughts though! thats what this thread is all about. that beind said, i think its going to be like a mini GBB mag; fill it up and then load it. the firingpin will realease the gas. but i wonder if that is the case, if it could be modified to fire real ammo? who knows...

I know that much. I was referring to the fact that if you filled each shell with gas in the liquid phase you would get inconsistent amounts. Where as if you were to fill each shell with gas in the gas phase you would get the same amount every time. It also worries me as to how much each shell will go for.

ditto

well yea this thread is a repost, http://airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=46130 so theres some of peoples opinions on that thread too, mainly about his eyebrows tho.........

anyways i think itd be really fun to play with, however the thought of losing those shells in game would really scare you out of using it to often..

Donster October 30th, 2007 10:18

oh ok. thanks for finding that. i guess i didn't look hard enough. my bad ASC. Mod's, feel free to trash this thread. Sorry everyone.

I would not be confortable feilding it as a sniper platform.

Loosing even one shell would be expensive to replace. Having a small combat worty load of ammo ready to shoot would also be very expensive.

It's a nice novelty, to shoot in your backyard, but not for a game.

Isn't this like the 5th poll you've started asking about a gun?

Aquamarine October 30th, 2007 11:41

I think I'm going to simply ASK for a demerit point on my account so I can go and start like six different polls on what kind of pants I should wear, what kind of tac-vest I should look at online before even viewing websites, and maybe even just make one about what colored smarty I should eat and in which order.

DUH! Red ones last!!!!

:D

ON TOPIC:

Adds to the realism but yah. If each cartridge is like $15 then it would be a PIA. Mags might cost the same but are way easier to find.

But then you don't get flying-casing-action. Where's the fun in that?

takatorikku October 30th, 2007 14:14

keeping your expensive shells

Donster October 30th, 2007 14:31
