Question for submachine gun owners

do they make tactical load bearing vests that have pouches for submachine gun mags? all ive seen is ones for rifle mags.

There are smg pouches. Get a molle vest.
There are also smg slings with pouches attatched to them (check redwolf).

Whats wrong with using rifle mag pouches?

Red012 October 11th, 2007 23:29

What submachine gun? There are many and all have different shape mags. I can’t answer your question but I know the people who can need this information.

Some of the Rifle mag pouches have an adjustable height, so you can fit an M16 magazine in it, or two MP5 magazines. If you find one you like, ask the seller if the pouches are adjustable. The ones on mine are at the very least.

I had a LBV with double mag pouches for M-series mags, and they had room for 2 MP5 mags + a little extra room (not loose enough to be bad though).

Hah expensive.

Cheap solution. Those old school CF surplus SMG mag pouches.

Hold 3 MP5 mags each perfectly, an they are at very most, $5 each.

They even had a flap inside them that if ya mag is sittin low or tight in the pouch, pull it an the mag comes flying up and easy for you to extract.

Mind the black and white picture, but here's how they look with cadpat and an MP5K.

If y a use those pouches, I advise having a dumb pouch on your belt as well so you can just drop your empty mags into there and keep moving.

$5 or $30.......both will do same job and last for a long time.

I use the old canadian 82 webbing for mp5 mags. Works great, dirt cheap.

Also I use a CPgear modular vest. Each pouch can hold either 6 MP5 mags or 3 M4 or two M14. Which is good cause I own 16 mags for the mp5.

I've also been looking for the same thing for so long.

Only vest I've been able to find is
