KJW M700

Just wondering about this gun... I'm looking at buying one but I would like to order it from the states (with our dollar being so good). If I order though UnCompany they can paint the barrel and cover all the trades. I have read a couple of threads lately about guns that are plastic bodied and have no trades getting through. Also this gun does not replicate a restricted firearm and unless the Customs officer knows what it is, it looks like a pellet rifle. I also seem to recall that any rifle shooting over 500 fps will be allowed. I have read that if you take out the restrictor on this gun it will shoot above 500 fps. Would all of this be enough to get it across the border or should I just forget about it all???

My instincts on this one would be to forget about it.

Styrak October 9th, 2007 13:29

You don't get it, it's still a replica firearm, which is prohibited.

My KJ fires 390 on duster, and well over 500 on propane, with .30s.
I wouldnt chance an order from the states, as alurring as it is. Trades or not, its just not worth having the govenments finger up your bum for 7 years. An m700 is whicked cheaper down there but in the end more hassle than its worth.

dont worry about him. its just that we get so many people asking the same question about whether or not you can bring guns into canada. and while we have read some cases of the customs people allowing it, the short answer is no, you cannot bring any airsoft guns/lower recievers into canada. and the hassle needed to do so is either rediculous or just happenchance that someone was able to do it. long story short, order from canadian retailers. The only instance of a "lower reciever" that you might be able to brin gin, but i would double check is the real-wood stocks for guns such as the M14 and such. i want to bring one of those in, but im not too sure as to the legality of such items.

Ok. Thank you for all your input. Looks like I'll just have to save up some more (double lol) and get it local. Thanks again.

and if you upgrade it make sure you talk to an aproved dr whom has worked on them.

M14 stocks aren't "lower receivers", they're pieces of wood. They have no function as part of the firearm.

I still have a small bruise on my forehead from when Testtube shot me with a 0.30g BB from around 100ft away, and that happened on Sept 29th!!! Lol, at least the scab is gone though.

Seriously, the KJW M700 isn't that expensive up here, most of us that own one got it from a guy on here that imports KJW guns, and total cost with shipping to my door was $330CDN. That was in 2005 when our dollar wasn't near as good as it is now! Buy in the country, there is no way you'll get a 500fps+ gun into the country without the special permits.
