Hey guys. I just purchased a new TM SR-16 which came with a scope. Now the previous owner did tell me that the reticule was broken due to over adjusting but he said its easily reparable. I was wondering how i would be able to repair it or if you guys know of anyone who does repare it. Im our teams DMR so a scope is always a good thing :P :snipe: .

Might be cheaper to replace it than fix it.Take it to a local gun shop,
they can tell you if it is worth fixing.Canadian tire has a whole pile of
pellet gun scopes that would be closely cammed to airsoft.

I know Bushnell charges $50 to fix a broken reticle. (Plus shipping). But that's for a high end scope, low end crap is not worth fixing. Which one is yours?

It doesnt say on the scope. But its a 3.5-10x40mm scope. Its a good looking scope just no reticule inside :(. How much would a reasonable 3-9x scope cost??? And how do you go about zeroing the scope???? I tried to zero a 4x Leapers scope for my previous m14 springer, but the gun kept shooting left and down no matter how i adjusted it.

If the scope was designed for a real gun, it will be always very difficult to adjust for airsoft; the ranges are not the same, the BB does not fly like a real bullet, and you get severe parallax errors.

The most useful scopes for airsoft are 'red-dot' sights since they have no magnification.

Depending on the quality and brand of the scope, repairing it may not be worth the costs. Buying another one may be the best course of action.

I live in mississauga sorry bout that. Are there any good 3-9x scopes for airsoft??? Still have to check that upward link tho. But preferably in canada last time i got my butt handed to me by customs when i shipped in the 4x leapers scope. The scope including shipping came out to 40-50 canadian after customs got to it 100 canadian.:confused:

Relja, with my old M14 I was using a Bushnell 3-9x 40mm (red dot does offer better functionality but I liked the look of the gun with the scope) and it worked out pretty well. With my paintball goggles on, I had excellent eye relief. Just keep in mind that even at the lowest magnification that the scope will show much more than the gun can reach. Adjust your game accordingly and you'll be fine.

DONSTER 125 do you have a super special secret way of zeroing a scope that cannot be posted on the public forum? :P

Well when i was trying to zero it with my 4x scope the gun still kept shooting low and right no matter how i adjusted it.:snipe:

Well what kind of red dot sight would you guys recommend then???? Seeing as how im my teams dmr.

I've always found basic Walther RDSs to work decently, both Open/Reflex and the Cylindrical/Tubular style.
