Spray Paint + Spring Innards = ???
 

What effect will spray paint have on the inner workings of a spring gun? Basically just wondering if I should fully, and meticulasly mask all the inner workings or if a bit of tape over the main moving parts will be sufficient?

You sound very smart. Don't ruin that by:
1) buying a springer
2) buying paint to paint the springer
3) not putting forth the money for a better gun (ie: AEG)

1) nothing makes springers look better, except the surrounding walls of a dumpster

3) Get a parent or a guardian to purchase it for you and come with you to games assuming ur at least 16

Buying airsoft under 18 is not frowned apon. Its quite simply illegal and therefore its enforced Zelously by Airsofters.
I never told you to buy an airsoft gun, i said you should get a parent or guardian to purchase it for you. If thats not an option, just wait till ur 18 and get verified.

The answer to "why don't I just get my parents to go out and buy me an AEG" is that you can't get them in stores (at least not in my area) and to get age verified at the moment my parents would have to drive almost 2 hrs to Toronto (something they are unwilling to do for my hobby). So if you could tell me if a small amount of spray paint could jam up the slide, spring, or piston mechanisms on my springer, then I could at least have a clearsoft pistol that isn't clear.

I'd say don't worry about it. If a small amount of paint does get in, take the fucker apart and clean it out. It's a spring, not an AEG, take down is easy.

To protect the spring before you paint the pistol, try to cover the ENTIRE spring with superglue to protect it from the paint. Then put it back together again when you are finished painting. It should work as good as clearsoft does when it's new.

First off.. if you weren't so damn lazy. You would see a complete list of canadian retailers on the top of the page. 2nd of all, this is an AIRSOFT forum, not Clearsoft. If you wanna talk about clearsoft, go to sum canadian tire forum or something.

It seems to me that you havent taken the time to even look for the retailers. Chances are you havent even studied airsoft laws. Furthermore you are underage and the last thing we want to do is make a clearsoft gun look real (color wise). Im not gonna help you do this so you can run outside with it, get the cops called on you and let the news reporters have a field day over this and make the airsoft sport look bad. Theres a REASON its clear, so that people like you cant go buy one and run around the street waving it around and robbing banks and convenience stores.
