Soft armor carriers?

Anyone know where I can find a soft armor carrier in Khaki? I've seen a few on eBay but I'm concerned after hearing stories recently regarding import of plate carriers / soft armor carriers and them being export controlled (denied export by the US Gov't).

Alternatively, if someone can confirm they've imported plate carriers or soft armor carriers recently without issue, I would appreciate it.

A fellow from JOC in Calgary recently imported an issue IBA with soft armour (no plates in the deal) off eBay. I guess it can be done, like anything else though, with still the "certain risks" present these days.

Phantom is making a soft armour carrier in khaki. You can see it on redwolf airsoft. 1337 tactical can probably get it in no problem.

I have the same inquiry... I have seen alot of ones named PACO... anyone have one?

Farmboy May 21st, 2007 21:20

They are no legal issues bringing in armour or carriers. It depends on if the US Mfg will export.

Also some armour does fall under contolled goods and does requires licences etc. to sell and export.

Are you after the carrier or the armour?

If the armour do you need a certain cut?

MadMorbius May 21st, 2007 21:21

I haven't found 1337tactical to be all that responsive these days. Also, I'm concerned that anything from Phantom will be on the small side. Thank you though, I'll have a look in that direction. If anyone has another suggestion, please share.

Did you mean PACA? I just received a med tan from Triad Tactical without problems. He sells them fast so you'll have to check often to see when he receives them. I also got both my Eagle CIRAS from the States without problems.

Farmboy May 21st, 2007 21:40

In stock right now is.

TAG Releasable
Eagle CIRAS
Eagle LE Carrier

Nervikaire May 21st, 2007 22:46

Got BHI and Paraclete carriers from the states in the past, will prolly need a PACA low vis in a relatively short term. No problems importing carriers themselves but you're prolly better off buying the armour local.

MadMorbius May 22nd, 2007 09:16

Farmboy - I'm not looking for a CIRAS or releasable option, I'm looking for something low-profile for CP work, easily stashed under a 5.11 or Sigtac vest. Something like the Paraclete soft armor carrier or the BEEZ vest.

Farmboy May 22nd, 2007 17:00

Global Armour Concealable Vest or Tactical Concealable Vest. Comes in tan with armour. Just need to know level.

MadMorbius May 22nd, 2007 18:40

Can you get the Tactical Concealable, only the carrier? I don't need the panels. If so, price for desert tan, XL?
