Experience with Guarder Threaded Claw Mount?

Hi all,
I have a TM G3 with a missing flashider, the barrel is not threaded. Has anyone had experience with the Guarder Threaded Claw mount adaptor for G3
How does this work? Does it clamp down on the barrel? Any other suggestions?
