Is there a lot of runing in Airsoft game?

What's the average distance a play has to cover in a game?
Will people "teach" you how to play in a game? or you have to learn it on your own "BEFORE" you get in a game?

Currently, I've been running for the past few days to train myself in order to make it "easy" for me in this sport. I'm doing 1km after my lunch & dinner. It's hard in the begining, but is their a better way to train myself up besides RUN & RUN... :duke:

Thanks.

Dude you run as much as you want too.

You can learn on the field, so long as your 18 and not a moron, ppl are pretty nice at games and will show you some stuff if you ask.

Or you can try some CQB games at TTAC.

you can play without taking a step. Sure you might be standing there wide open for people to pick you off but thats up to you.

So, I will not be "forced" to run with other player in the field??

Just don't stuck in a doorway while we breach into a room, running is not going to be an issue! Landing will be! ;)

That puts you ahead of a whole bunch of us... 8-O

or eat the burgers at Wasaga and let them do the running for you.

amano999 May 11th, 2007 14:54

Dude this is airsoft, just cause it's mil-sim allot of the time doesn't mean ppl are going to yell at you to run up a hill or something. If you want to run 1 km a day, go for it, will keep you healthy.

At field games it's usually just for fun so you can show up in jeans and a T-shirt if you want too, you'll just be a easy target.

I buy the big guns so I don't have to run. I might do a short sprint if there's a big line-up at the BBQ after the game though.

However, when you first arrive at a field, it's typically required to drop and give 100 pushups to show your commitment.

Wasn't it 200 pushups last year? What happened?

Some overweight guy passed out due to some cardiac failure, so the paintball fields won't let us do that big of an initiation anymore. Something to do with their insurance policies, liabilities and what not.

Poor guy... he tried so hard too. He was almost done by the time we got to lunch break.

Ok, I kinda get the idea now...

theres a role for everyone on the field, whether youre in shape or not. A good commander will take your abilities and exploit them to the fullest.

If you dont move a lot, just make sure you got a damn good gun, and a good shot to go with it;) Then youll be just fine.
