AEG fuses quetion

Whats the recommended fuse for a 8.4v and a 9.6v battery? (large)

ILLusion April 16th, 2007 01:05

That depends more on your spring, your gears and your motor.

But stock is 15A.

I run some setups using a 9.6v battery with a 15A fuse, still. I've only popped a 15A fuse once, and that was with a 480fps gearbox.

torque up gears M120 or M100, and stock motor

Just keep it at stock 15A. If it pops, then move up in 5A increments till it stops popping.

But if it's popping with that setup, you should look at your shimming job. It could be a bit too tight.

hmm, i jsut did the shims and they move perfectly. they dont jump and when i spin them they spin with no friction at all.

Then move up to a 20A fuse. It's not a bad thing to do... but it just means that the higher the current draw, the less efficient the system is.
