Replica Guns Banned in Oshawa?

I was listening to 680 News this morning, and i heard that oshawa has band replica guns and wants the rest of the province to do the same. anybody else hear about this?

Kid April 9th, 2007 22:19

Don't they realize that they are pretty well banned already?

KoolAidMan April 9th, 2007 22:20

replica guns have been banned in Canada since 1998.

They're probably trying to ban the criminals that illegally import them from the US from having them illegally, so that they can't rob a bank with a replica and are forced to go through the gun registration process so that they can rob a bank with a registered rifle.

Well if this ban you speak of ends in airsoft being made illegal in Ontario then people on this forum will protest the ban and if they win it makes it better in Ontario for airsoft possibly lowering prices and such .

Protest the ban and win? Do you think this is the U.S.?

I don't even think some of them are old enough to vote, let alone carry out a successful protest.

The story said that 'realistic bb guns' are banned for individuals 18 and under. The intention was to keep them out of schools (or so the story said). Doesn't affect us really.

Who needs to be 18?

Just schedule our protest on April 20th (or May 5th this year) and we can say that the thousands of people that march in protest on the street are doing it for airsoft.

Just go out with a few signs that say so, start handing them out saying that if they carry them, the BC3 won't go to jail.

It'd work.

Krookedatmosphere April 9th, 2007 23:09

lol that would be smart and funny

MrEvolution April 9th, 2007 23:15

BC3 are the three people (including Mark Emery, Canada's 'Prince of pot') that are currently in the process of being extradited to the United States and would face life in prison for selling millions of marijuana seeds to the US.

May 5th is this year's Marijuana walk. Last year wasn't there 25,000 in one Canadian city?
