Need help identifying this Camo pattern.
Hey all.
I bought this jacket over 20 years ago (Yes, I really am that old) and was under the impression that it was Rhodesian. Now, I'm not so sure. Does anyone recognize this cam pattern or the jacket itself? If so, any and all info is appreciated. Here is the link to my yahoo album; http://s168.photobucket.com/albums/u...fiedjacket.jpg Hopefully the link works. Sundown |

Rhodesian
It Rhodesian Camo. Used in what was called British Rhodesian in the 1960 and 1970's I think after the revolution it now called Zimbabwe. Use by the Zealous Scouts and the Rhodesian SAS.

They must have changed the style of uniform then because all of the Rhodesian camo shirts I've ever seen have the buttons showing on the sides of the pockets. this one has the buttons hidden.
Could be just differences in manufacturing and year of construction. Thanks for the help by the way. |
Looks like it is either from India or Pakistan.
Rhodesian is.... http://www.tridentmilitary.com/rhodesia.html Sealous Scouts... http://www.geocities.com/cbssecman/r6.jpg Indian Para... http://www.diggerhistory3.info/comba...-india1971.htm Pakistani... http://www2.ttcn.ne.jp/~camouflage/i...stani_camo.jpg |
I'm gonna say Pakistani, the Indians used the Denison smock which is a brushed pattern, not that 'saw grass' style.
