Quick question: CA crane stock battery capacity

Quick question, will a CA armalite with crane stock hold a 7 cell or 8 cell battery? I've seen 9.6V advertised more often though, is this right?

Yes it is, at least I was able to fit one custom made 9.6v in my CQB-R.
