AK47 varient - Do you think this looks cool?
 

I was messing around with my AK and I thought of this weird configuration. I wanted a tactical AK but I also wanted to retain as much "wood" as possible.

What are your opinions on this AK varient I photoshopped:

Not to dislighten you but that AK is yuck, AK only look good with plain and traditional wood or tactical and colored furniture, that is only my opinion.
You should get a PBS silencer and it would look alot better.

it's what about what you like really, as you have to play with it, be seen with it, etc...

On the other hand, the faction of players who fall into the "self-righteous, uber-realism loving, elitist prick" category will hate it - i should know, as I'm sure I fit quite nicely into that classification... so yeah I'm not a fan of your concept.

but like i said, it's your rifle...

how about a pbs4, sidemount, kobra sight and a set of guarder AKM wood furniture instead? now that would look swank... especially if you top it all off w/ an element brand AK74 metal body

Kokanee, Couldn't have said it better myself. Classic AK receivers and wood just don't fit with tactical accessories, period. Even an AKM is somewhat pushing it IMO. Definitely get a Russian silencer and optic instead.

I still don't know how the hell can people use an RDS at such a high eye relief...

Sweet looking AK Raygis. Although I would put a different scope on it, other than that, looks awesome. Any internal upgrades?

If you are going to add a scope, try to find a real russian one with the right mount.

As for the suppressor, go for a plain one, not the SOCOM.

Then the look is a bit more acceptable? Or at least probable?

same you have a AK side mount so why not use it?
it kinda defeats the purpose to have it if your going to have a tactical fore arm and have the optic there and not use a good side mount.

Take the silencer off…I’ll say the look is not bad at all. I have seemed people imported real steel Russian style optics for their AKs. I have no doubt you have the resource to get them for your self…then you will have one real sexy looking AK.
I will always respect all devoted AK owners, as I have two AKs my self.
