Battery Issue URGENT! GAME TOMORROW.

I Traded my 8.4v 3000mah Battery for a 9.6v 3600mah with youonlywish a
couple days ago (Great guy). And I fast Charged the battery with this charger
http://www.bbbastard.com/solution.png set on 1.8A for 2 hours. I
then unplugged it and plugged it back in and set it for 0.9A to peak it up. I
then plugged the battery into my gun and almost got a hardon for the new ROF
and Semi Response. I then Fired it on semi once to uncompress the spring and
put the gun away and unplugged my battery.

TODAY:
I plugged the battery in and loaded a mag to unload a nice volley to make sure
my mags werent misfeeding and in need of some Silicon oil. So I pull the trigger
and NOTHING HAPPEND not even a noise from the gearbox. I plugged the battery
in for 5min on 1.8A to see if I can get a small charge into it and nothing.

I know it cant be my gun, Well I hope not.

It might be the battery.

PLEASE HELP ASAP.

Oh the battery is an ELITE Cell 1.2V 3600Mah Cells
Great shape hopefully not a shit battery. (no offence youonlywish)

That charger should be used with batteries from 1100mah to 3000mah. I have seen it used with 3300mah crane stock NiMH, and no problem, but I am not sure if 3600MAH NiCAD would get damaged - seeing as you did the slow charge I don't see it being a problem. The fact that you plugged it in and it worked and then plugged it in again and it didn't doesn't make any sense.

Do you have a multimeter or another gun you can plug that battery in?

Have you checked the fuse?

Do you have another battery to test with the gun?

Process of elimination here.

Droc January 12th, 2007 08:56

fuse for sure, either that or a wire is out.

HaZarD SFD January 12th, 2007 08:57

Its NIMH Forgot to add that!

I got a Multimeter in car I could try but I know it runs on a 9V and I think its dead.

Nope didnt check fuse.

I have one gun I got ZEN

Heading to friends house to test on his.

Any more help or insight greatly appreciated.

Thanks Scarecrow

PM'd you my MSN. IM me when you get to your buddies' house if you need my advice. I don't see how the charger, particularly that one could kill a battery like that, particularly when you tested it and it worked. It makes me think as Droc said, fuse or wire.

NiMH are more sensitive to charging conditions - question - was the battery hot when you took it off the charger?

Shut up DROC you dont even have any more guns!

LOL j/k

I will get to checking my fuse asap. If it is the fuse what can I put in to take
the amperage of the battery!

Also, check the stock and make sure the hamster is still chained to the wheel and moving. If you have not fed him in a while, he might be dead.

Hes running on BBbastard BB's might have to go to the high protein AE ones
again. Fuck I hate when Humpy the Hampster is mad.

5 minutes might not give you much of a charge, I ran into a similar situation last night when I was in a hurry to test my wiring repair. Try giving the battery a proper full charge.

Edit: Yeah, I know you gave it a full charge only a couple days ago, but Murphy will sneak into your house and discharge your battery if you need it badly enough. Properly recharging the battery is one of the simpler possible solutions.

Well my gun couldnt of fucked up unless unplugging a battery will cause
a problem.

It ran after I pulled the trigger in SEMI then unplugged the battery. today it
wont even make a noise and trigger pulls normally but no nolise at all in
mechbox.

Scarecrow January 12th, 2007 09:29

I still think you should change the hamster...

Oh, wait a sec... did you opt for an upgraded hamster?

testtube January 12th, 2007 09:47

Hazard I have a wack of fuses i think 25's

LUTNIT January 12th, 2007 09:59

I can cycle the battery on my duratrax ice and also have a pile of 25A fuses. Failing that I have a spare battery you can use that is known working. Also as scarecrow said that charger is designed for batteries up to 3000mAh only. When I was still using one of those it worked 9/10 times with 3300mAh batteries but would instantly false peak with my 4200mAh pack and apply enough charge for only 1-3 shots, may be similar problem with the 3600mAh.

WOOT

Statitstics:

80% Battery
10% Mechbox
10% Fuse

Lets get the bets rolling lol.
