CA M16/M4 68Rd Mag Question
I have an Classic Army M16/M4 68rd Mag. It only seems to fit 40. I can see a bb in it that won't come out. I have tried pushing the little tab that holds them in the mag, but the spring won't push it out. Anyone have any ideas?
|
Could you possibly have gotten one of those oddly shaped bbs stuck in it? I know a couple of our guys have had this happen with high caps and an messed up bb jammed the mags all up.
|
Did they fix it?

I took apart the mag, and once I had the last screw undone the spring popped open with the remaining bbs. I tried putting it back together and in the process I lost the small spring that holds the tab that keeps the bbs in.
After a lot of swearing, I broke apart a pen and used it as a replacement. Who knew it would fit perfectly. There was a small circular piece or rubber that was at the enterance of the bb opening. I think that piece was causing the jam in the first place to tell you the truth. I remember it being twisted around the problem bb in the first place. I didn't know what the purpose of the piece was then, and I don't know what it does now... I hope I won't miss it. Thanks for your help! It seems to be working for the moment. Here is an image that a guy at Arnies gave to me. It's in Japanese, but you get the idea of how the mag works after looking at the pic. http://www.airsoftplayers.com/m4/m4_9.jpg |
Sounds like an o-ring. I've seen it with KA mags and it jammed up one of my mags. I forked the sucker out of there and we've been happy ever since.
|
Is it an o-ring from the M16 mag? I heard it might be from the TM Speedloader. Either way, it seems that both are working fine, but I feel weird having a part sitting in a bag when I know it fits in somewhere.
Kinda like after I put together my self from IKEA. |

Gotta love typos eh? I knew it was shelf but couldn't help point it out... |
No no, I am a T-800 Model 101. :)
Look for the T1000 in the spring. |
I've had the same o-ring stuck around a BB jamming it, no idea where it came from, was in an M4/16 MAG midcap.

Try taking apart the mag. Careful not to loose any of the parts like i did :banghead:
But you will be able to get rid of the o-ring. It takes a bit of fiddling to get the whole thing back together because the springs keep wanting to bust out. PM if you are having trouble. |
