4.3" to 5" government ?
 

Would it be possible to modify a 1911 4.3" to a 5" government? Would just a slide, and outter/inner barrel be needed, or would other modifications have to be made? The frame is a full sized, short/railed dust cover type.

You'd also need a government length spring guide...

I don't know about WAs, but TM Hi-Capas are just direct drop in conversions to increase length.

See I was thinking that.... My friend just recently bought a .45 shorty (new SCW 3 type ) from ASCA and I suggested a 5.0" upgrade... but compatibility seems to be a big issue...

Does anyone know if S.C.W 3 parts will work on S.C.W 2 kits? (creation Kimber Deswar -desert warrior. )
