[n00b] looking for retailer in Ottawa
 

Hey all,

Sorry for the noob post, but I'm looking to pick up a few Airsoft for Halloween and looking for a place to buy them in Ottawa or around Ottawa.

Any help would be great,

Well if you want a good way to get shot there u have it. Even on halloween replica guns are still no-no's in public.

Thanks for the heads up, but I don't plan on taking it out to a public venue. Will be for a private house party I'm attending.

Go to wal-mart or dollar store.....airsoft isn't exactly a toy to impress people at the party.

Even still, what if some person doesnt know its fake and calls the cops? Its not worth the risk or the hassle.Besides why spend $300+ for an airsoft gun when ur only gonna use it once?

Seeing as how you are gonna have to get yourself and your costume to the house party somehow, and are in Ottawa, this might be a useful read for you unless you have already. This guy got all that attention for a belt of empty casings and BDUs.

Now picture walking to your ride's car (or your car). Or walking up to the front door of the house party. Or what happens if the cops show up for noise complaints or something else? Food for thought, nothing more.

taking all legalities out of the pictures, there would be no way that you will be able to get a gun in time for halloween, you should have started your search along time ago.
but in all seriousness, airsoft guns are not toys in anyway shape or form, so your best bet is to just get a "softair" from walmart or canadian tire and go from there.

Not to mention; there is no store in Ottawa, you have to get age-verified first, and the other legal problems have been pointed out to you.

Dont worry, he picked the wrong town/area to ask about doing something really unwise. Considering who replied to him, his chances are pretty much non-existant.

I'll make it even clearer; what you want to do is illegal, and will be treated that way by the police. If you get seen by myself or anyone else, I will dial 911 and let the experts give you a clue. Unless you live under a rock, there have been arrests in Ottawa lately for the same thing you want to do.

Being a special effects artist for over 15 years! I know how to attract attention, last year I created quite a stir with authorotise when i walked out of the bar as a stake vampire, I had one stake true my leg and another iin the gut, normal folcks wlaking on the side walk saw this and started freacking and called the police and medics...lets just say that I got undrunk realy fast! I was not charged with anything but lets say that the whole experiance put a damper on the rest of the evening. Now as per not to where for this halloween...Military dress, poeple are not pleased with the fact that we have are boys and girls over seas...getting shot at, and killed for no apparent reason...so no need to rub it in! and the other well ...the bad guy terrorist, need I explain?
