Semi-Arid GP Camo; Multi-Cam or ACU?
Many guys from Alberta have found that Multi-Cam is the best all-around camoflage for the area.
I am just wondering about people input in comparing ACU camo to Multi-Cam. I have some old school Woodland, CADPAT TW, CADPAT AR, and now am looking to finish of my year round collection with something ideal for fall and dry winter. http://www.davesarmysurplus.com/prod...roducts_id=325 I like the digital look and outline breakup of the ACU, yet the multi-cam uses a different system which blends the colors into whatever main color you are skulking in. Looking advice on which one you feel is best from experience or anecdote. Thanks |
John, seeing as how you like digital camo's, I can tell you that in the areas we all play, from May to September, MARPAT woodland rules. Multicam and ACU work really well in early spring/late fall.
Cadpat works well in thick foliage, but quickly comes out of it's strength in grasslands. MARPAT is still the best general-purpose camo. I like MC for its basic versatility and the fit, but it's easy to spot in low-light. ACU I only use in CQB indoors, or in early spring with snow on the ground. |
