PVS7/14 Helmet mounts

Does anyone know if there is an airsoft, or other repro manufacturer that makes the AN-PVS 7/14 helmet mounts? I'm looking to add one to my MICH, but I dont want to spend $70-100+ on a mount for a piece of kit I dont own.

Have you looked around on eBay? I remember some there for 'bout $30.

Links?

Every PVS14 mount i've seen starts at 70 and goes up from there.

Lerch September 23rd, 2006 03:33

Shit, screw $30...here's some for $9.99 USD

You may be SOL. The only replica one I could find was the G&P one and that sells for just under a $100 US.
As Lerch mentioned you may just have to search eBay until you get lucky and are able to pick one up cheap.

Edit found some other cheap repro NVG mounts on redwolfairsoft.com and uncompany.com. I'm not 100% sure they are what your looking for, but you may wish to check them out.

Aww too bad you gotta go USGI and not...G&P...really too bad.

Yea, damn, that's gotta be too good to be true.

If you can, I'd suggest getting a real-deal one instead of the G&P one. Within minutes of owning my G&P one I broke it. The G&P is nice for cosmetics, but even that, I didn't trust it to hold my PVS14 while I was wearing my helmet.

Nonetheless, there are still lots of cheap mounts on eBay. And you can get lucky and bid low and it'll just coast through unnoticed. Hell I just picked up a Gallet helmet for $50, and I bid on it with 6 days left...nobody touched it.

I scored a real one for $35 buy it now. It came with the chin strap, helmet strap, and arm etc. He had another one in stock but it was gone before I could buy it. Since then, they have jumped up to 100 again. They must have released a ton so it drove the price down...now there are less again, and the price has tripled.

Goldman September 23rd, 2006 20:01

bah-humbug. Maybe I should just bit the bullet and trackdown/buy a real PVS7 or 14.

SINN September 23rd, 2006 20:35

This is the guy I bought mine from. I guess it clicked in that he could get a lot more from the mounts...He does have one now, but no buy it now.

Some say it's in poor taste, but for auctions like that, where you don't want to risk it, just snipe the bid. Essentially, bid with a few seconds left in the auction.

SINN September 23rd, 2006 22:03

Lerch September 23rd, 2006 22:07

Exactly, but you normally won't need to snipe the bid if it's wide open and the item is common.

But for something like an MICH helmet with ACU cover and NVG mount...for $20...SNIPE AWAY!
