Hurricane FTKs
Anyone have any personal experience with them? Specifically the G36C FTK.
I was going to order in a Guarder FTK, but Specarms has the Hurricane in stock. From what I hear Guarder is a better (if not a little more pricey) way to go, but I'd like to know if anyone has actually installed the Hurricane FTK in their gun and how it worked for them. |

I got the FTK for my M4. I installed it in my ICS and so far I have been happy with it. I thought the quality was excellent, especially for the price. The piston head and spring guide have a bearing so everything has really good movement. The cylinder head has a ring of material to help lessen the force of the piston head striking against the cylinder head. While a systema silent piston/cylinder head are better-they cost almost has much as the FTK. I ended up trying different configurations and finally used my stock cylinder and air nozzle (the Hurricane did not fit on my tappet plate well??) because they provided a better air seal. I have not cronied my gun but I would estimate it is shooting around 350 fps with 0.25’s (will punch through both sides of a pop can). I bought the kit from 204Tactical and I found their price (75) to be the lowest and shipping was fast and easy (2 days to Alberta). I would recommend the kit to anyone who does not want to spend a fortune on a systema.

The ICS does use a slightly different tappet plate than others... It was due to slight incompatibilities like this that I sold my ICS. |
