lefty

I am going to purchase an G&P M4A1 but i am allso left handed, and I've noticed that the swiching from safe to semi to auto can be a bit troublesome because its on the left side of the gun. so i was wondering if the guns switches ect, can be moved to the uther side of the gun to meake it easyer for leftys.Or will i have to modify the gun in any whay?

thanks for any help.

You would have to modify a lot of stuff to get the fire selector on the right side.

So, get used to it the way it is, might seem awkward now but you wll get used to it.

.... Speaking from experience, I'm left handed and have no problems switching the fire selector on Armalites, it's just a bit different because you either use your finger, or move your thumb around the pistol grip... Unless you're stuck on the M4, you could always look at going with an H&K gun, which features an ambi-fire selector.

Your profile says you're 21, you might wanna work on your spelling and typographical skills.

Another solution is to dremel/screw-in another selector-switch on the other side.

Uh... how would that work? The selector plate for the gearbox is on the left-hand side of the shell. A selector switch on the right side of the body would have to either go under the trigger area and back up to the switch, or straight through the body, which in the case of the v.2 mechbox is through the spur gear.

I'm left-handed, and I have also had no problems with adjusting fire selector switches on armalites. A minor inconvenience, but nothing you can't work with.

unless you had some fancy custom made mechbox, it cant be done.
you only need "auto" anyways.

Sounds like a plan. :D

For whatever reason I was thinking it could work if the selector-switch pivot went all the way through.
