HELP! airsoft gun only shoots upside down!
 

Hey guys, after months and months of peicing everything together myself from scratch, I finally got my gun working, well sort of. When I put a full mag in, the bb's are at the top of the mag, I pop the mag into the gun and it doesn't fire. I put the gun upside down and it fires! It seems like it's not sucking the BB from the mag, anyone else have this problem? I mean there isn't any adjustment in terms of how much further the mag will go in. It's a CA gearbox w/ G&G metal body and everything else is stock marui except for some metal body parts.

What type of mag are you using

Both are Marui mags.

Sounds like the spring is broken.

Are they low or high caps?

hicaps.

You probably didn't wind them, try winding them fully and also attempt to wiggle the mag a little bit when you load it into the mag well, you should hear a (shiikkk) sound when the BBs feed into the loading tube. Send me a PM with your MSN if you need more help

Are Hicaps supposed to suck this bad? I had to keep winding the stupid thing. I could barely use autofire for more than 6 seconds (3 seconds at a time) before needing to wind it again for probably half a min. Not to mention that after you finish 3/4 of the clip, the 1/4 of bb's left in the mag are completely unusable. This kind of defeats the purpose of using a hi-cap, no? I've never played airsoft on a field before and I plan to in the future. I don't think hicaps are the right choice for players.

BTW, are hicap MP5 mags the most realistic size in terms of realism? I bought the hicap because it looked like the right size to me in terms of replicating the size of a real MP5 mag, or am I wrong? What's the best choice for realistic looks and a mag that works (less winding, all bb's usable in the mag)

Hey an upside down gun aint so bad, still works :twisted:

MED-CAPS - or Low Caps

Med(ium) - Hold anywhere from 50 to 100+ - No winding is invovled

Low Caps - Hold roughly 30 rounds, depending in gun type etc.

I believe although each mag holds different amounts they are all about the same size - and should be close 1:1 of the real thing.

You need to wind it until you hear it click. You'll hear the noise change. Once you've wound it that much, it 'should' fire out the mag, but sometimes when you have an old mag, you have to wind it intermittently throughout the mag.

For mag capacity, it shouldn't be more thna twenty or so BBs left in the mag - that's the cost of not having a spring to push the rest up. In exchange, you fire the other 180 rounds out... The whole point of having hicaps is so you reload less, and it seems that even if you were 'only' firing out 3/4s, you would still be firing more than one locap.

With respect to realism, sure, all MP5 mags look the same on the outside. Well, except hicaps have the wheel on the bottom.

I really recommend you get out to a game where people can answer your questions in more detail than on this forum.

Hi Caps and Lo Caps are both physically the same size Hi Caps just hold more BB'S to give you that Hollywood effect when shooting. Wind the Hi Cap till it starts to make a clicking sound when turning. Get your but out to a game and get ALL your questions answered at once.
