Getting shot in the back

I had a question: how much do BB's hurt? After reading thru most of the forum for 30 mins, all i found was contradicting statements. So instead of asking you guys i got my friend to shoot (with 0.2g) me in the back (wearing just a fleece sweatshirt). And i bring you the video of stupid me getting shot in the back.

Now i know that:
-yes it does hurt
-don't get shot while wearing just a fleece
-i want more

*edit*
he was supposed to shoot me only once, but it was accidently set on full auto, that is mainly why you see me runnig, i was moreso scared cuz i didn't know why i was getting shot so much.

Not the wisest decision, but whatever to each his own, with regards to pain. It has many dependent factors. Sometimes you'll get hit and just barely feel it shrug it off say your hit etc. Then other times it will really hurt just so many factors. But the biggest thing i find, is that when your in the middle of the game the adrenaline rush makes noticing the 'pain' of the BB very hard to do. plus unless your playing CQB your never really get shot from that close.
Thus is my personal experince i can't really speak for other people because each has their own threshold of pain/what they get shot by, example a sniper rifle shooting 450 with .36's or something like would be a lot more painful over a stock AEG shooting .2's
Which i bet you can obviously conclude...

i feel stupider after watching that.

seriously though, if you think a +-300fps GBB is bad at that distance, wait till you taste a fully upgraded +400fps rifle...to the face, or the thigh. If its a bleeder, its a keeper.

Of cource you'll get contradicting statements. It depends on so many different things. The range you're shot from, your tolerance to pain, adrenaline, where on your body you're shot, what kind of gear you're wearing, full or semi auto and the type of gun that shot you (Upgraded or stock, GBB, 6mm or 8mm guns)...You really didn't have to do that, but hey whatever floats your boat. Don't expect it to feel the same when you go to a game...wow...

Glad i was of service, admitently its is quite stupid, but t'was fun!

i didn't think it was bad, i got scared cause i've never been shot with one, and instead of one i got shot like 3-4 times on full auto. it only hurt for a minute or som then just stung a little. I'm sure during a game (even if its a better gun) i woudln't feel it much, all the adrenaline and all! Can't wait to play :D

You made me laugh, well done. :-D

Is that the HFC M199 Special Edition? I have one too and can verify that it does indeed hurt.

You would have been waiting a long time for it to hit you, and just the suspense would have made it hurt more!

Dont forget you're wearing a BDU and maybe another layer or two along with a vest, goggles and sometimes hat and mask. That'll lessen the pain as well.

SohxBlitz June 26th, 2006 12:38

well if you wanted to see how much support weopens hurt im sure me and my team could help yea with that you stand still we line up with 6 support guns ranging from rpk to m60 to para m249s to mg36 then you tell us when you are ready j/k bbs don`t hurt that much unless if you get shot right in the top of the head ouch painful

GraveTech June 26th, 2006 13:14

THe straight answer is, if you are expecting it to hurt and you are standing there waiting for it, it is really gonna hurt. If you are running and shooting and in to the game, it doesn't hurt nearly as much, or for as long. Justmy experience though.

Have to add in the weight of the BB used too. Heavier hit harder. Heck, the game the other day myself and a few dead teammates were shooting at each other with our pistols for fun, range about 80-100ft, they were laughing because of how LOUD my BBs were when hitting the tower walls in front of them.......... 0.43g out of a G19 (shooting 340fps with 0.20g BBs). Hehe, I nailed one of them on the top of the head, the BB left a welt even 100ft away!

Freedom Fighter June 26th, 2006 13:45

300 FPS ... psshhhh.

Lisa June 26th, 2006 14:16

The correct answer is, don't get shot, shoot them in the back before they shoot you. Also if you're being shot in the back it could mean one or more of a few things. 1) you're running away 2) Your team mates don't like you/friendly fire 3) you've walked into an ambush.
