CR123As - where to buy, preferably bulk

Hey does anybody know any good places, preferably online, to buy CR123As in bulk? My girlfriend got a Surefire for work, and doesnt wanna pay the price to buy 2 at a time. Thanks.

E-bay is your best solution, I don't know of any store that sell those in bulks but if you look it up on ebay you'll find a lot of them.

If you don't mind shipping from the states you can try the "Titanium" brand CR123A batteries which go for only $1US each:

I was hoping to avoid buying from the states, which is why I posted here. However the best deals seem to come from US sites, and the Canadian dollar is only getting better. :-) Looks like my route, thanks guys.

Just watchout for custom fees ... unless you plan to ship as a gift ;) lol

Bump!

Best I found was about 1.25$ to my door on eBay, any Canadian sellers with comparable prices?

Karnage August 7th, 2007 08:09

how many are you looking for?

Scarecrow August 7th, 2007 08:29

I did this research before... eBay is your best option. I've looked locally (Toronto) in places like Battery World and industrial wholesalers and for some reason they were always much more expensive.

Also with the CR123's on eBay, I found a guy there who was reconditioning them and the batteries were great. He was selling them in lots. I'll see if I can still find him...

EDIT: He doesn't seem to there anymore, but his email was lawclerk7777@justice.com. He might still be doing them. He was located in BC as I recall.

I get mine (Sanyo) from DigiKey, I think they are $28 per 10 pack or something (not the cheapest, but hey, for me, they are free!). Best part of it is I order them through my work, mainly because I use my taclight at work, so I can justify the purchases. Lol

Ideally I would be looking for around 25 to 50 per batch, nothing too big.

I've heard many players tell me they pay 1$ locally for theirs, even if I can't get them that cheap what type of store usually stocks them for less?

Cheapest I found right now is about 7$ per unit.

Aren't these CR123a batteries Lithium Ion batteries? Can anyone explain why rechargeable CR123a batteries are so scarce? I've only seen them once, but was packaged with a flash light (cost around $250).

Over the counter rechargeables are full of fail. I bought a pair to try out in my Surefire G2, hoping to save. Cost me about 35$.

They power my low power bulb for all of 3 minutes (usual run time60 minutes) and barely make my high power bulb burp (usual run time 20 minutes).

I don't know the science behind this, but I'm guessing high discharge applications rape rechargeables.

Quick addition, lowest I found on eBay per unit are these:

About 1.10$ per unit to my door.
