Pics of some gear I made (warning: possible 56K death)

Well after wiping away the blood, sweat and tears, and going through about 6 prototypes, I finally put together a couple of drop leg subloads for a good friend of mine. I was originally going to just come up with some mag pouches for his P90, but after trying to figure out where one could stick their P90 mags, he figured a drop leg subload would be best.

The materials I used are: Denier Cordura 1000, 2 inch polypropelene webbing for the straps, 2 inch side release buckles, 2 inch sliders to secure and adjust the webbing straps, 1 inch heavy polypropelene for the molle webbing, heavy duty nylon thread, 2 inch plastic loop ring, 1 inch plastic D ring and binding tape for around the edges.

Hawt.

And a good idea too, (re: P90 mags)

Might be an interesting idea for CQB games to have a few magazines where the P90 magazines simply have a pair of long tabs on them so you can just hook them directly onto the gear. When you need them, just pull them straight up!

Nice work. Looks pro.

looks great! are you thinking of making some for sale? :D

Play nice... this is Chubby's thread.
Kos - there's no need to repost Chubby's pictures in your quote, it just makes the thread unnecessarily long.

That is very slick work dude, looks professional.... or... "for professional"??

Hey thanks for the kudos :) Well I certainly wouldn't be opposed to that idea :)

To be perfectly honest, I'm very happy with the way they've turned out for the most part, and glad I finally have a working model; but since I've been out of work since December, I'm certainly not going to bat an eyelash if anyone's interested in purchasing anything I do

Thanks a lot for the positive feedback I've gotten so far guys. Being happy with the hard work you put into something and being happy with the end result is very rewarding, and the positive feedback so far has only helped to add to that :)

The whole gear thing is something I've been trying to get going for a couple of years now. I actually started off wanting to distribute gear for a very prominant company here in the Toronto area, but I didn't have enough resources to do it, so I figured I'd try making my own. My main focus is the professional, and right now I want to focus on manufacturing law enforcement as well as security gear, and this is the first thing I've done so far :)

I really can't wait until I have enough to buy a press for metal snaps because I'm really itching to start doing modular velcro and snap configurations :)

Hey chubby can you make a mag pouch to go on modular vest? Like a pouch that can hold empty mags and stuff in black? How much would that cost?

By the way excellent worksmanship. Makes me want to go to my moms tailor shop and put together another BDU.

So you'd be looking for a mag dump pouch? I can do that. All I have atm is nothing _but_ black, so black it is :)

Let me get back to you on a price and we'll go from there.

Chubby gimme a couple for the store one for a customer Black please and the others in OD and Coyote.
Cheers

I'd certainly be interested in an OD drop pouch. Order some OD and I'll be sure to buy.

How did the pouches themselves come out? I am really looking for a couple of 2 mag pouchs that could be worn like a butt pack, or on the backside of a vest.
