Overheating Gearboxes?

Being a total newbie, and not even owning an airsoft gun, I am just wondering if nice autos (in particular the Tokyo Mauri p90) would have a problem with overheating when the trigger is held down for a lengthy period of time. I know I've seen warnings about this with regards to lesser guns, but am not sure if the difference in quality changes things.

Thanks a lot,
-Brad

I doubt it. The battery will heat up a lot but not enough to cause a problem. You'll likely run dry before you can overheat it. Just put it this way, this is the first time I've heard airsoft and overheating in the same sentence since I've started.

The bigger risk is the grinding down of your gears by using long trigger pulls. I've seen way too many gearboxes get shredded internally (both upgraded and stock), because buddy decided that his gun should be the equivalent of a squad support gun and empty out a few highcaps with single pulls each.

Thanks a lot for the responces.

As Arnisador said; you are more likely to shred the internal gear set if you abuse it. That gets expensive real fast. Just replacing the gears and internals can cost $300 or more.
