16 awg wire and my grip motor issue
Hello people - so the gearbox fits this 16awg silicone wrapped (should have gone with Teflon) wire but I have to really force the motor into the grip as the space inside the pistol grip is not made for 16awg. AEG M4 is the gun.
Question - any options to make this grip fit like it should and still be able to use this gauge wire? I am thinking about grooves inside the grip and using a file to make it happen.... good or bad idea? I'm worried this would effect the angle of the motor on the bevel gear. Thanks for any insight |
use teflon jacket, you don't need flexibility until the battery lead

Cutting grooves has come to my mind sometimes, too with that big wire. Make sure you are leading both wires up the back of the grip - one either side of the screw bump. If you still have trouble, consider switching to a MIAD or MOE grip. They have much more room in them. I often run the positive wire in front of the motor (especially if it is short) with those grips. |
Thanks Fella's
