What is this piece of kit?

I found this piece tucked away and have no idea what it’s for, I googled grenade pouches even though I doubt it could hold a grenade. It doesn’t have molle loops on the back, it has Velcro barbs. Any ideas? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...66aef3cde3.jpg
