Quick & Easy Scope Leveling Methods?
 

I recently purchased a 1-4x scope for one of my airsoft guns, but the thing came very off-level with ring screws loose out of the box.

I have a small magnetic bubble level which I can place on top of my scope, and I've done a bit of reading and YouTubing regarding the general method used to properly re-level a scope. However, all the stuff I researched involved using a gun-vice to keep the gun itself leveled, and getting a gun-vice for airsoft is a bit overkill for me.

What methods do you use when re-leveling scopes on your guns? Specifically, what do you use to keep the gun itself leveled and secured so you can freely focus on adjusting the level of the scope?

I just square up on something like a wall or doorway and adjust by eye.

Helps if you live in a house that's level & that has doors that close though.

Yeah I only realized now, after putting my bubble level on random stuff, that a lot of things in my house are actually off-level so it makes finding a good flat surface to rest my gun on for reference a little difficult lol.

Those bubbles arent very accurate anyway.
Just eyeball it.

Also then make sure you tighten the screws evenly, Unless if you one of the china ones then you need that level

Also, do you guys use torque wrenches at all for tightening the screws, or just go by feel?

Who uses a torque wrench for anything?
Gotta feel the bolts.

Well if it was a real rifle and optic I was using for work I just might use a torque tool.

The settings would be so low you'd wind up using a torque screwdriver; not a really common tool for most. In airsoft with it's limited recoil that would be a bit much.
