Hello all airsofters,
I've seen the reviews for the Tanaka clone. They all looked good. Now I have to ask of people that snipe, have one or seen one in action:
1)How good is it to have a gas operated rifle?
2)Does it support propane?
3)Any recoil?
4)2x 11bbs mags are enough?
3)$400 price worth it?
5)Should you take off the front sight?
6)How optics can be attached to the gun and what size the threading is for a suppressor attachment?
7)Can you modify the fps on the m700?

4. hmmm, in a game you might need 4, depending what type of game ur mostly in, and the amount of people (more the people, longer the game)
5. I'm sure they don't cost 400 bucks, Fandango sells them for 310 i think. (you must be aged verified)
6. yes, the front sight should be remove if you want to install a scope, plus..it just looks childish : )

thing shoots stupidly hard unless you turn it down

It refers to tuning down the velocity, for example using a velocity reducer. It actually does shoot stupidly hard, much like the CO2 powered .177 pellet guns from Canadian Tire (and in some cases, much harder).

It can be adjusted for fps output internallu is what he means. Take the bolt apart, remove a few screws, give the striker spring rod a turn with a screwdriver, put back toagether, etc.

Easiest is to just use duster, that'll get you between 400-450fps easily on hot days. When it's like +10-15C, use propane, just be careful of engagement distances (and keep your mags in your pocket to keep them usable if temp is around +10C). It'll work fine all day long that way.

Bob, velocity reducer won't fit/work on the M700, there are no threads to mount one.

Didn’t know that, there aren’t any hereabouts that I know of… I hope to get one, actually. I’ll be researching for a while…

Is a VSR-10 better than KJW m700 considering accurrecy/range/price/upgrades...so on?

VSR-10 is spring, the KJW Rem 700 is gas. Apples and oranges. For the price...I don't think you can really beat a sniper rifle for $300.

M700 question
 

For all those KJW m700 owners out there, how easy is it to disassemble this rifle? Can you remove the stock from the action? would I be able to take this gun apart for painting with few tools? can the action be seperated from the barrel with ease?

thanks for replys in advance... I am thinking of getting this gun when I have the money after Xmass.

It's easy to take it apart for painting.

Ya, first sling stud gets unscrewed (best to allow the barrel to sit free, will say why later) from the aluminum mount attached to the barrel (this should be removed because in very commom cases, the outer barrel and inner barrel are slightly bent in order to sit straight in the stock....... case in point, my barrel is free flaoted and sits canted to the left a bit, but greatly improves the accuracy and consistancy), then unscrew the screw in front of the mag well, and the one behind the trigger, presto chango, stock in one hand and the receiver/barrel in the other!
