Hi, I'm new to airsoft and am getting sick of asking people what stuff stands for, so I propose making a sticky with the definitions of every airsoft related acronym. I know what most things stand for but for some I'm still lost.

Also is there a realy good website that gives the specs for guns including FPS and acuracy?

OK, here's a few to start.
FPS- Feet per second, the standard velocity BBs are measured in. The standard measurements are approximately 280 for a stock Marui gun.
RPS- Rounds per second, referring to the firing rate.
AEG- Automatic Electric Gun, running off rechargeable batteries. Best company for this (internal and money wise) is arguably Tokyo Marui.
GBB- Gas Blow Back, usually pistol. Runs off gas, usually semi-automatic.
LPEG- Lower Power Electric Gun- For younger people, unplayable with older. For example, CYMA, WELL, Marui BOYS series
EBB- Electric Blow Back pistols, runs off 4 AAA batteries. Pitiful velocity, unskirmishable and nothing but a paper weight or wallhanger.
Springer- Spring Gun, Single Shot Only. You have to cock each time, velocities are very low.

Unfortunately enough, they never read the FAQ.
There should be one in the Weapons or General section, probably because half the 'which gun, which retailer, what's an AEG' posts happen there.
Then again, I take that back. They never look at anything anyway, it just goes straight for 'new thread'.

What the hell is an acromyn?

WTF is a acronym. dont know if thats what he means tho. As 15 year olds dont seem to spell correct. Mind you Weird Al spent YOU wrong (Yuo)
