Calgary shopping advice.

Hi all. I'm headed out to Calgary from Oshawa for work for a month, maybe a month and a half. I'm not looking for airsoft stuff right now, but would like to know of any army surplus stores out there I could easily get to. I'm waiting on some coin to come into my account and wanted to buy boots and some safety gear from Hero's, but the coin still isn't in my account. I may have to do my shopping out there.
I'm doing unskilled labour building the new Cabela's in Calgary. I don't know where that is, and I'd like to have safety equipment I could use for gaming too.
My current CAF steel toe boots have about had the biscuit.

AFAIK the new Cabelas is being built near Deerfoot Mall in the NW/NE around Huntington (if not taking over a bunch of the empty space at Deerfoot Mall, seeing as how it's a dead mall with like 2/3 of the space up for lease).

Off the top of my head SEALS action gear and 911supply both in the SE are nearby each other. Both are right off the 39th Ave CTrain station and it's a quick walk. Imperial also used to be around there too (since shut down last year). I've heard Badlands paintball carries some airsoft stuff but it's a smaller selection, it's also right by there too.

Then of course there's 007, and PM Hobbycraft (right next to each other) in the North East. PMHobbycraft doesn't have much stuff in for some reason, I went there yesterday to pickup some model paint and half the shelves were bare (maybe they're waiting for an order or something).

BTW: I get my safety equipment from Acklands Grainger or any other safety supply stores around. If you need earpro I highly recommend the Peltor 105's.

And the giant Bass Pro Shop is five minutes north in Balzac. Seals and 911 Supply are both good stores.

Don't forget about Crown surplus in inglewood as well. armysurplus.com Decent place with selection, can be a bit pricier for some stuff so shop around.

Oh right, Inglewood. If you're down there might as well visit the Knifewear and the Kent of Inglewood shop too (for shaving stuff). Really good Japanese knives at Knifewear but be prepared to spend at least $100 for a single "entry level" knife, Kent of Inglewood is where I go to buy my DE razor blades (Japanese Feathers FYI) and other shaving stuff when I don't want to order from Amazon (way cheaper to order online but if I'm down there I sometimes make impulse purchases).

Calgary shopping advice.

Thanks everyone for your input. I'll research it all and take your advice. Affordability, and cross-use with airsoft is priority.
