S & T / Beta Project Sterling SMG Mag Question

Anyone own a S & T or Beta Project Sterling SMG? If so, do you know if MP40 or Sten AEG magazines will function in the Sterling? Thanks.

sterling has a curve mag, MP40 and Sten have straight mag. They're not compatiable in RS I doubt they are for airsoft.

while in the army as a master corporal I carried an SMG with the curved magazine and we tried to put a sten mag into it but it would not fit. The only thing compatible between all three the Sten, the Mp40, and the SMG was the ammunition... 9mm parabellum

Sten was single stack and a bear to load; Sterling/SMG was double stack and you could load without a tool.

You might be able to BFI other double stack mags in but getting them out is one of those things.

We were never issued a tool to load the SMG magazine, it was done by hand. It was a pain as it was slow load the magazine. You placed the blank round on top of the previous blank round then pushed down then to the back of the magazine, then kept repeating this till you had inserted 28 rounds to save excess strain on the mag flat spring. But you could load all 30 rounds if you wanted to, but for exercises we only put 28 blank rounds in the magazine. When on the firing range we were issued fully loaded magazines with 30 live rounds to be used on the live firing range

They were probably all being horded by the stores clerk.
