Holster/Drop-Leg Identification
Found this picture of a Military Contractor loadout. I like the drop-leg setup going on, since it's got both sidearm and melee weapon on one leg.
Just wondering if anyone could ID the type of drop-leg/holster system and point me to something comparable. I'm assuming it's a G-style weapon by the grip, which is what I would also be looking for. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...de73ac0e6d.jpg |

I highly recommend using a drop leg that has TWO belt attchment points. The single point droplegs tend to rotate around your thigh.

Mine doesn't move, ever. Only 1 leg and 1 belt point. And, it is a drop-thigh holster, not a drop knee holster. |
Contractor guy has an awkward shooting stance.
Sorry to thread jack but I'm just going to throw this out there, as its been in my thoughts lately. The key to a contractor loadout if you do choose to go down the route, is in the details. The main thing on this model that distinguishes him from your average noob is the Sordins. It's the little things like that that make it |

I see lots of experienced players with drop-knee holsters and leg-mounted dump pouches. Wear it right, with the correct belt. Not like the guy in the photo above, he screams noob. |

The real one doesn't convince me that I'd be able to mount a knife to it. Quote:
I'm not really trying for any specific loadout. I do have comtacs which I'm trying to integrate. Still trying to figure out the best way to route my headset. Quote:
I was looking at this belt: http://store.specwarfare.com/content...ger-green.jpeg |
Bit off topic, but isn't that image a CS-GO character model? It's definitely a CGI.
On topic, I used to use the standard soft drop leg holster with the belt drop loop and the 2 leg straps, but I've since removed the top leg strap and the drop loop, and running my belt through where the top leg strap used to attach. Not sure if all universal drop legs have this option, but I found this doesn't shift at all, is pretty comfortable, and still sits low enough to clear my vest. As for a belt, doesn't a normal leather one work...? It works in my setup. |

My Safariland with a CRKT Hissatsu mounted to it. I use screws that came with the knife and the strap of the holster.
I use a 5.11 pistol belt. Very sturdy, and the velcro meshes with the velcro on the holster strap. |
I am convinced. Still expensive for a Safariland though :(

After a bit of research I think I might go for a repro serpa-style holster. I like how it clicks in to place and has rails/mounting points for accessories.

problem with plastic molded holsters is; if you buy a fake one, they can break apart in game.
