Vest and webbing?
 

So, I got my Arktis vest a few weeks back and after using it for awhile I've found that I want more pouches for extra kit, but not just ammo pouches, I'm going for e-tool and canteen pouches, ya know, specific items.
Anyways, my query is this, would it be comfortable to wear PLCE webbing under my vest?
My main worry is that the yoke would chafe underneath the vest. I've already figured that the belt would be below the vest.

Which vest is it?

You can attached a pistol belt to most of the Arktis vests, then hang gear off of that.

I use a crossdraw vest even for woodland action, which doesn't carry as much as a decent chest rig will, so I hang a lot of pouches (including a large util, buttpack and dump mag pouch) off my duty belt. I'm thinking about putting a triple M4 mag pouch or two on their too, as a crossdraw will only hold 6 mags. You can also think about using leg rig, but some find the movement of the rig brushing up aginst the leg distracting.

I've got the 1600 vest. To my knowledge you can't hang webbing off the belt on this vest (the belt is a good six inches from the bottom of the vest). I've given thought to sewing PLCE clips to the bottom and hanging the belt from there, but I'm just curious how webbing would perform before I do some more mods.

if your PLCE kit is fitted properly it should work... not many people have it done correctly

The point of the vest is so you don't have to wear webbing.

The 1600 like most of them has the hydration pocket in the back. Using that would be more effective than canteens, also avoids the sloshing around.

For the e-tool hang it off the back as well using the daising chains or webbing that is there.

Sorry, do you have a particular need to carry an e-tool? Do you plan to dig in while skirmishing?

It's nice to wear all kinds of cool stuff, but eventually you'll find that the less crap you're carrying the more effective you are. Carry what you need, ditch what you don't.

My opinion.

See, I use my combats both on the airsoft field and at cadets. So whenever we go on AT weekends I use alot of things (one being my e-tool, I dig myself pits and latrines).

Otherwise I've got my Thermobak clipped onto the d-rings and I plan on sewing a radio pouch to hang on the front.

Well, does your current hydration system pouch have any places to mount modular pouches?

Get one that does, and then start hanging crap off the back of your hydration pouch.

Or get yourself a small rucksack and start carting stuff around in that.

Nothing like thinking like a real soldier in combat. :D
