Magazine bb block tab made from aluminum?

Does anyone know if such a things exists or if it would even work?
I have a couple of mags in which the little shitty plastic tab that holds the BB's in has broken off rendering the mag garbage. Do aluminum ones exist? Would they work (or would they simply damage things ie: BB's)?

For what magazine?

KA Metal Mid caps.
But lets go in general, are there any out there that you can get aluminum blocks for?

Hunter Seeker makes a 10-pack of enhanced 3D printed followers. Not metal but they are supposed to be the business for good feeding and longevity.

I think he is referring to the mag lips, not the follower.

I have seen 'enhanced' plastic ones around but I don't know how they differ, have never seen metal ones.

I have never broken my bb mag lips. It could caused by your hop up unit.

But anyways, that is what aftermarket companies do is to produce upgrade parts. Did you ask any of them to make them. Unless they hang around ASC and read your post, they won't know there is a need for it.

It's not the lip he's referring to, it's the spring loaded retaining tab. The one AEG every mag has to hold bb's in. I've never seen one and to my knowledge, no one makes a metal one. While I suspect every brand and type will be slightly different, one from a different mag should be able to be modified to work.

Darklen got it. I looked around and didn't find anything.
I might take a crack at making one to see if its doable and works out.

I was also referring to the tabs that are held by the spring. If the spring is too strong, the tabs won't retract easily when insert the magazine into the mag well. I use a lighter spring that easily retracts and still hold the bb's in place.

I've seen one guy wreck all this retainers, it's from slamming the mags into the gun too fast.
Aluminum retainers would more likely wreck the first BB and wear that part of the hop chamber.
