Here we go again... idiot trying to cross the border waves fake gun (probably airsoft) at US BPS and gets shot. Windsor cops have warrants for his arrest when he returns...

I propose a new law to airsoft. With every purchase of an airsoft gun, there should be a stupidity test along with the age verification proof.

But then all of the colorful folks of ASC would no longer be able to purchase anything.

As a society we must keep people accountable for their stupidity, and not restrict everyone because an incident may occur. This guy got shot because he was asking for it, end of story, period, done. It is a tragedy and I feel bad for his family, but this is way it is. I hope they don't start making goofy laws to try and stop people from doing normal, acceptable, everyday things, to prevent us from doing something really stupid. At least he survived to be arrested and pay the penalty. He waived a gun at cop, so he'll probably get 100 years or something.

People will do stupid things no matter what. You can buy a springer pistol from walmart and paint it black. Just cause one guy rode a skateboard down the middle of the road in to oncoming traffic doesn't mean they're going to outlaw skateboards either. I can't see this particular incident having an affect, this guy was clearly out trying to get shot. Maybe he was suicidal, maybe just dumb... who knows. It's an awfully round about way to die though, he probably wanted the publicity.

Your probably right, but with the sudden spike in airsoft/airgun related firearms crime, I'd hate to see an overreaction.

Due to one idiot they shouldnt ban nor make stupid rules concerning airsoft in Canada. There are enough stupid laws as it is, we dont need more.

The news anchor did mention, Unless I misheard (possible as my English isn't 100% spot on), that the suspect was the one who made the initial call to 911 to bring the cops to the McDonald

Just a guy with problems he couldn't solve by himself. Sad

Suicide is a selfish act, not having the balls to do it yourself is cowardly. He clearly wanted to die and was willing to ruin someone else life to make that happen. I wish he'd just jumped off the bridge.
