Plate Carrier Size Comparision
 

I've been trying to get an idea of the size of the Flyye MOLLE Style PC Plate Carrier in comparison to other plate carriers.
My understanding is that it's a replica of the Eagle Industries carrier of similar name.

I'm a average to small guy (5'-6" 29"ish waist) and the images I've seen on retailers websites make the mannequins look like they're swimming in the vest.
Some retailers offer the vest in multiple sizes, but still show the same images which isn't helpful.

I'd be curious how this vest compares in size/fit to other styles of vests like the 6094 which looks similar.
I'm just getting into airsoft, so this will be my first plate carrier.

A good reference would be the size of SAPI plate it holds. The one pictured, with 4 upper molle rows, would be the XL in eagle - so a XL plate will fit snuggly within the front. 11x14". It's a really big vest in that size, and I personally could not shoulder a rifle with a plate bigger than Medium in the front.

The Medium size, has 3 upper molle rows, and will hold a Medium or large front, and medium rear...

The eagle does not drop as low or have as much coverage as say the CIRAS of equivalent size for instance.

you probably want smaller sized carriers.. banshee, there's a couple condor ones that are newer that are small... try to finder the 'lighter weight'setups, they tend to be more streamlined/smaller.

Go check out army issue, he might have a bunch in the shop.

If you're *really* skinny, it'll be too big. I'm not sure about the Flye sizes, since I didn't see them listed - but the one made by Eagle only comes in two sizes. S/M and L/XL. XL, the one with 4 upper molle rows pictured is definitely a fatman PC. You can probably get away with the S/M though, and it snugs up more nicely with plates in it - especially with side plates in the cummerbund.

I own the eagle one - the only thing I could complain about, is that it needs some aftermarket shoulder pads when you start loading up the weight.

These are definitely not tacticool anymore though, outdated as far as PC's go... If that matters to you.

You need a small size. Go with a LT6094 or Swift Plate Carrier if you want a light vest.

The Mayflower APC is a really good choice for smaller guys. (i'm a smaller guy). It works even beter with an elastic cummerbund.

The first Spear SST was the first carrier that made be believe a carrier could look sexy. I really liked the colour scheme of this one, but the price turns me off:

I really don't like the look of the JPC/swift plate carrier.
I'll probably end up choosing between the 6094, CIRAS, or Banshee, depending on price, and availability of colour (75% of me wants Ranger Green, 25% a dark TAN/CB)
